Just a quickie

Graham and I have had a great week in Paris - the hotel was good, the Marias and Latin Quarter were particularly lovely areas, and we walked and metroed all over the city, so much so that we were completely exhausted by the time we got back.

We have both had really heavy colds. I've had mine for 10 days now and there is no sign of it getting any better, if anything it seems to be getting worse. I'm fed up of having glue ear and blowing my nose every few minutes.

We have sold the flat! Almost. We accepted an offer for £181,500 (1000 under our asking price) and we are the end of a chain of 3. Everybody wants to move as quickly as possible so it's now down to the lawyers to progress things quickly and for us to find somewhere decent to rent!

And the bad news is that my nan has found out she has breast cancer and has to have a masectomy. Fortunately they are able to do the operation very quickly - next week on my birthday. It isn't invasive cancer, and my nan's friend went through the same thing a few years ago and is now living a happy life so that has helped her remain positive about it all.
